Dr. Beth A. Brooks Achieves Fellow Status in the American College of Healthcare Executives

Brooks, PhD, RN, FACHE, and Senior Partner at JWT Employment Communications, one of the world’s largest recruitment marketing and internal communications companies, achieved the status of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as of January 1, 2007. The ACHE is an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, health care systems and other health care organizations throughout the country.

A Certified Healthcare Executive since 2002, Dr. Brooks achieved the status of Fellow by demonstrating professional accomplishments and commitment to leadership excellence. With over 20 years of experience in health care Dr. Brooks has held positions as a nurse recruiter, nurse manager and director of nursing and is currently the health care industry thought leader for JWT Employment Communications, responsible for the agency’s expertise on the attraction, recruitment and retention of health care talent. Dr. Brooks is widely published in the nursing administration and health care management literature and presents workshops internationally and nationally. Previously in her career, Dr.Brooks worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was Associate Dean for Education Outreach, Executive Director of the Institute for Healthcare Innovation, and Director of the Graduate Program in Administrative Nursing in the University’s College of Nursing, where she taught the graduate human resource management course. She also founded the Brooks Group, Inc., a health care consulting and training company dedicated to improving the quality of nursing work life.

A graduate of Valparaiso University (B.S.N.), Dr. Brooks received an M.S. degree in Nursing Administration from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in Nursing Science from the University of Illinois.
