Senex Pledges Continued Adherence to Collection Practices in New ACA Statement of Principles on Healthcare Collections and Debt Purchasing

Indianapolis, IN (PRWeb) February 27, 2007 -- Senex Services Corp., a pioneer in the purchase of healthcare self-pay receivables, today announced that it has pledged to adhere to the Statement of Principles on Healthcare Collections and Debt Purchasing recently adopted by the board of directors of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA), of which it is a member.

"In addition to formally adopting the ACA's Statement of Principles as a company, 100% of our Account Specialists have signed a pledge to conduct their collection activities in a manner consistent with these guidelines" said Robert Lowe, Senior VP of Collection Operations. "This was an easy step for Senex. We have always adhered to the highest standards, and we are able to adopt the ACA guidelines without any changes to our existing practices. Our already-extensive training program will now include reviewing and committing to abide by these practices."

In addition to supporting the ACA Statement, Senex has operated within the collection guidelines of the American Hospital Association, as well as the individual collection policies of its many hospital clients, which are frequently more stringent.

Kyle Lanham, President of Senex, served as a member of the ACA task force that developed the guidelines in response to the growing market of healthcare debt purchasing. "We are seeing a significant increase in the number of hospitals interested in selling bad debt," stated Lanham, "but the primary concern for providers is a perceived loss of control and how their patients will be treated. Healthcare providers want to be assured that their patients will be treated in a manner consistent with their own mission and values."

Health Tips For Busy People: Healthy Diet & Exercise In the Office
Many women's lifestyle magazines frustrate us by providing exercise regimens for work and then adding: "You can do this exercise in your office!" What about those of us who work in a cube or other small space (with no floor space for Pilates-style stretches) that's not very private (do you really want your boss to wander by right when you're doing jumping jacks?). Even if you are cube-confined, you can maintain your health in a cube.

Utilizing The Food Pyramid For A Healthy Diet Plan
In our never-ending quest to be slim and fit, different people have different ideas about what type of body looks best. And due to this diversity in opinion, some of us are going to the extremes of the dieting spectrum. Losing weight is one thing, starving ourselves is completely something else. And the worst part is it?s very unhealthy. Our bodies need certain nutrients ? including fat ? to help keep us alert, focused and energized. We might be losing weight at a rapid rate by practicing our chosen eating habits (or lack of), but what?s the point if we?re sick as a result of it? If you want to keep fit ...
